An entrepreneurship dream that started in 1964

Our Journey started in 1964 with an entrepreneur’s dream of doing something that rose above the norm. Our Founder Chairman’s gritty pursuit of his dreams took the business house he created through various phases – retailing, trading, sales & marketing. Over half a century, his vision started an enterprise with wide experience and presence in sectors like photography, clothing, food, agriculture, office automation, hospitality, and now – Regenerative Farming, by establishing a brand that manufactures products from organic farms.

Tradelinks was born in Convent Junction, Kochi. Founded by K.N. Suryanarayan who started a photographic distribution business.

Established Suryanarayan Estates to facilitate a long term tie-up with French global hotel operators Accor and Interglobe Hotels in India.

Ishka Renewable Farm Pvt. Ltd., was established with the objective of making it the Tradelinks Group’s flagship company for all future business activities in Renewable Energy and Agriculture industry. The company has its registered office in Chennai with Head Office in Kochi and farm/processing facilities in South Tamil Nadu. 365 acres of agricultural land procured.

2012

A chance meeting with an agricultural entrepreneur from Argentina, under the G20 in Moscow, Russia in 2012, led to our tryst with Capers. Pablo Rico Sebastian cajoled us to consider Capers as a commercial crop. The opportunity seemed straight out a fairy tale but the journey from ideation to plants on the ground was anything but!

Turning barren land into green and renewable farms

Ishka Renewable Farms Private Limited (IRFPL) is a new generation company established in 2012 with a vision to tap into the sunrise sectors in India, namely – Agriculture and Food Business combined with energy sufficiency from clean, green and renewable sources for captive use.

Ishka Farms in Tamil Nadu is spread over 365 acres of agricultural land in Niravi Pudhupatti Village, Ettayapuram Taluk, Tuticorin District. This is just 95 KM from Madurai and 45 KM from Tuticorin Port. South Tamil Nadu is known for its arid, barren and dry, inhospitable terrain. The average rainfall in this region is below 600 mm while the mercury touches an easy 45 degrees Celsius during summer!
