Caper Fish Stew

Ingredients & Quantity
  • Fish of your choice (Any Firm White Fish)
  • Flour/ Semolina (Optional)
  • Ishka Farms Kerala Hot Sauce
  • Ishka Farms Smoked Caper Sofrito
  • Oil
  • Water

How to Prepare
  1. Marinate your fish in Ishka’s Kerala Hot Sauce for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Add oil to a frying pan over high heat until it begins to lightly smoke. Place the fish in the pan and sear both sides for two minutes each. For a crunchier texture, you can coat the fish in flour or semolina before frying.
  3. In the same pan, add two tablespoons of Ishka’s Smoked Caper Sofrito. Dilute it with water and heat it thoroughly.
  4. Then, place your seared fish in the sauce. Close and cook till it is done, typically for 5 minutes. The time varies depending on the thickness of the fish and how well it was seared.
  5. On a plate, place the cooked fish and pour the sauce over it. Serve it with rice.
