Basil Hummus

Serves: 2

  • 1 Cup boiled chickpeas
  • 1/2 Cup Basil Leaves
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 4-5 cloves of garlic
  • Ishka Farms Sea Salt (to taste)
  • 1 tbsp Tahina
  • 3/4 cup aquafaba

For topping:

  1. 1 tbsp olive oil
  2. 1 tsp zattar
  3. 2-3 Cherry Tomatoes
  4. 2-3 Capers
  5. 1 tsp pinenuts
  6. 1 tsp Chickpeas

How to Prepare
  • Soak the chickpeas overnight and boil in a pressure cooker with some salt until soft.
  • Leave them to cool to room temperature and store in the refrigerator for a couple hours to chill.
  • To a blender add the chickpeas, basil, Ishka Farms sea salt, tahina, lime juice, aquafaba and garlic cloves.
  • Blend to a smooth paste. Add more aquafaba if needed.
  • Transfer to a bowl.
  • Top with olive oil, zattar, pine nuts, chickpeas, Capers and cherry tomatoes. Or any other toppings of your choice.

Refrigerate for an hour and enjoy!!
